City of Elgin issued the following announcement on Aug. 26.
Petitions for candidacy for the 2019 Elgin municipal election are available in the City Clerk’s Office located in City Hall, Room 202, 150 Dexter Court.
The Elgin City Council will have the position of Mayor, four Councilmember seats for a four-year term and one Councilmember seat for a two-year term open in the 2019 election.
