VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE: Buffalo Grove Days is August 29 - September 3, 2018

Village of Buffalo Grove issued the following announcement on Aug. 13.

The annual festival is held over the Labor Day weekend at Mike Rylko Park and includes a carnival, live entertainment, a BBQ challenge, car show and more.

The BG Days festival, now in its 57th year, will be held from Wednesday, August 29 through Labor Day (Monday, September 3, 2018) at Mike Rylko Community Park, 951 McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove.

A charity softball game on Wednesday, August 29 kicks off the festival with family-friendly attractions beginning Thursday, August 30 and continuing over the Labor Day weekend. Events and activities will include a carnival, the annual BBQ Challenge, a business fair, arts/crafts fair, Buddy Baseball, a car show and much more. Main Stage entertainment acts throughout the weekend include headliners Suburban Cowboy, Eve6 and 7th Heaven.

The annual BG Days Parade is being sponsored by Woodman’s Markets, and will be held on Sunday, September 2 beginning at 11:00 a.m. The parade starts on Bernard Drive and Indian Hill Drive, and heads east on Bernard to Raupp Boulevard, then turns north, and ends at Raupp Boulevard and St. Mary’s Parkway. This year’s Grand Marshall will be Steve Trilling, a long-time Village Trustee who retired in the summer of 2017.

“I want to encourage our residents and visitors to come out and enjoy BG Days. This is one of our Village’s longest standing traditions,” said Village President Beverly Sussman. “This year, it will be even bigger and better than ever! There really is something for everyone to enjoy.”

A sheet of 30 carnival tickets can be purchased prior to the start of BG Days at Village Hall, 50 Raupp Boulevard, for $30. Carnival discount wristbands good for the entire weekend are $60 and individual daily passes for $20; both are available online now at bgdays.com. Discount wristband sales end Thursday, August 30 at midnight. Carnival wristbands will be for sale on-site at BG Days for $65 for the whole weekend and $25 for the daily pass.

On-site parking is limited to handicap spaces; free shuttle bus service is available during the entire festival.
