Community Consolidated School District 59 issued the following announcement on July 25.
Today marked the kickoff of CCSD59’s 2018-2019 balanced calendar school year as students, families, and staff at Ridge Family Center for Learning returned to school.
The beautiful, sunny morning added to the excitement as students and their families warmly reunited with friends and Ridge staff members.
“Parents are very positive about this day, and they show that by their turnout, coming in year after year to our Family Day,” said Dr. Rob Bohanek, Ridge’s principal. “They know what’s going to happen, and they want to support their children being here at school and help kick off their year.”
We look forward to sharing a fresh school year with our students and families while growing and learning together.
