Prospect Heights School District 23 issued the following announcement on June 22.
We are excited to announce Dr. Amy Zaher as our new Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction!
Amy is coming to us from Berwyn North District 98 where she served as Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning for the past 6 years.
She has also served in Chicago Public Schools as an instructional coach and director of professional development.
Prior to her administrative career, she held positions as a Reading Coach, and teacher in grades K, 3, 4 and 7. Her wide range of experiences and a strong background in coaching/professional development makes her a fantastic addition to our Leadership Team.
Her enthusiasm, passion, and approach to teaching and learning will enable us to continue to build upon the momentum we started this year.
Dr. Zaher is replacing Dr. Christie Samojedny who resigned her position this Spring to accept a new role in Skokie District 68.
We thank Christie for her contributions to our District and wish her the best in her future endeavors.
