Report: Northbrook spent $19,668 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Northbrook Elementary School District 27 is up 3 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $19,113 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $19,668 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1227 to 1298.

Northbrook's spending in 2016-17 was 52 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
