Report: Community Consolidated School District 62 spent $16,921 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Community Consolidated School District 62 is up 26 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $13,462 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $16,921 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 4800 to 4693.

Community Consolidated School District 62's spending in 2016-17 was 30 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
