Report: Park Ridge-Niles spent $15,920 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Park Ridge-Niles Community Consolidated School District 64 is up 8 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $14,745 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $15,920 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 4300 to 4621.

Park Ridge-Niles's spending in 2016-17 was 23 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
