Village of Wilmette issued the following announcement on May 8.
The Village of Wilmette is pleased to announce that the Locust Road Reconstruction Project is tentatively scheduled to begin in early 2019. The project limits are Locust Road from Wilmette Avenue to Lake Avenue. This project includes water main replacement, minor storm sewer improvements, curb and gutter replacement, full pavement reconstruction, and pedestrian/bicycle safety enhancements.
Final engineering is underway and scheduled to be completed this summer. The Village will be hosting an open house to update the public on this project. The meeting details are:

4:00 PM and 7:00 PM
Residents are encouraged to stop by to view exhibits of the proposed improvements and learn about the construction phasing. Project personnel will also be available to answer questions about the project. Please note the Village will host an additional open house in early 2019 several weeks prior to the start of construction to introduce construction personnel and present the final construction sequence and schedule.
