Analysis: Glenview pays $5.13 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Glenview Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.8 percent of the $4,792,940 the Glenview Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.13 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Glenview contributed $4,016,250 to the fund, which saw a $6,306,790 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $782,515, or 16.3 percent, in 2016.
