City of Park Ridge Mayor's Advisory Board met March 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

I.Call to order

Chairman Mazzuca called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. Chairman Mazzuca, Ald. Melidosian, Ald. Wilkening and Ald. Moran were present.

Deputy Clerk Peterson recorded the minutes. Two residents were also present.

II. Approval of the Minutes

A.February 19, 2018

Moved by Ald. Mazzuca. Seconded by Ald. Moran.

Chairman Mazzuca explained that Deputy Clerk Peterson sent out modified minutes based on communication she received from a resident. All members indicated that they reviewed the revisions.

Approve minutes as amended and include correspondence from the resident Ms. Dobrinsky.

Moved by Ald. Mazzuca. Seconded by Ald. Moran.

Motion carried; voice vote.

III. Deliberations / Recommendations

Chairman Mazzuca indicated there is one expected vacancy on the Bike Task Force. Rather than have all candidates come in again, he suggested discussing

Ald. Moran suggested selecting a first and second choice in case the #1 choice is already engaged in another commitment.

Approve to recommendation of appointment of Mark Kleinschmit #1 and Tim Kirkby #2 to the Bike Task Force. Moved by Ald. Mazzuca. Seconded by Ald. Wilkening.

Each Board member presented their preference with Chairman Mazzuca, Melidosian and Wilkening supporting Mark Kleinschmit as the #1 choice. Ald. Moran preferred Kirby.

Motion carried; voice vote.

Ms. Dobrinsky understood the changes made to the minutes that were approved as amended. Ald. Mazzuca provided an explanation regarding action and consensus at the last meeting regarding the discussion on February 19 related to volunteers’ attendance at meetings. She questioned why Ald. Moran’s suggestion of adding another paragraph was not included in the minutes. Chairman Mazzuca explained content is normally contained within the minutes and that they are not a verbatim transcription. They should be a summary and include any action taken at the meeting. Ald. Mazzuca also mentioned that an audio recording is available for review through a FOIA request. Deputy Clerk Peterson said she would provide Ms. Dobrinsky a link to the Municipal Code that states what should be included in minutes.

Deputy Clerk Peterson spoke about arranging a date to meet to interview potential candidates for various Boards and Commissions. It was decided that the Board would meet on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. Deputy Clerk Peterson would send an Outlook invite as a reminder.

IV. Adjournment

The meeting adjourned at 6:59 p.m.
