Katie Miller is "Leading the Revolt Against the Ruling Class."
That is the title of a campaign video for Miller, the Mt. Prospect Republican vying for the seat of retiring Rep. David Harris (R-Arlington Heights). Miller, a longtime nurse at St. Alexius in Hoffman Estates and case manager at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, is running in the 53rd District, which covers Prospect Heights and Mt. Prospect.
“Katie Miller knows about working and raising a family in Illinois,” the video announces as snapshots of Miller in her scrubs and at home flash across the screen.
The video, 30-seconds long and sponsored by Liberty Principles Pac, shares that Miller and her husband, Greg, send their kids to public school, where they also volunteer.
“Katie has worked as a nurse for nearly two decades, but her home value keeps falling because her property taxes keep rising,” the video says. “There now more than $800 a month, sound familiar?”
The video shares more of Miller’s personal story, noting Greg Miller’s raise last year “was devoured by the Chicago Democrats tax increase.”
“Sound familiar?” the video asks again. “It is all too familiar, so Katie Miller is doing the unfamiliar by leading the revolt against the ruling class to represent us for a change.”
