Citizens for Tom Morrison, a candidate committee supporting Rep. Tom Morrison (R-Palatine), is throwing a "Patriot Party" fundraiser, according to his website.
The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 18 at American Legion Post #609, 122 W. Palatine Road in Palatine.
The cost is $25, which includes food and drinks; a cash bar will also be available. The admission fee will be waived for anyone who secures at least 30 petition signatures for Morrison's re-election bid. Supporters can sponsor for between $200 and $750.

Morrison, a former local business owner, has represented orth Cook County, including Palatine, Arlington Heights and Rolling Meadows, since 2011. He is a former teacher and a graduate of Hillsdale College. He and his wife, Bethany, have two children.
