The calls in Evanston included 120 fires - 63 structure fires, 10 vehicle fires and 43 other fires. The fire department also responded to four calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $2,253,117 in fire loss - or about $18,776 per fire.
The department also received one false call, including 25 malicious calls and 1 other false calls.
The calls resulted in three civilian fire-related injuries. Additionally, five fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents.
The Evanston Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 107 active employees and 145 retired or inactive employees, was $7,650,068 in debt as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $63,751 for every fire in 2016.
