Rep. Tom Morrison (R-Palatine) is seeking volunteers to join him and Sen. Tom Rooney (R-Rolling Meadows) at their booth at this year’s Palatine Street Fest on Aug. 26- 27, according to a release from Morrison.
Those interested can sign up for a shift at the lawmakers’ legislative table by visiting Morrison’s website, www.repmorrison54.com. The time slots for Aug. 26 run from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and 4 to 5:30 p.m. On Aug. 27, two-hour time slots are available starting at noon, 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m.
Those seeking to volunteer will also be asked for their name, city and contact information, as well as if they’ve previously volunteered for the booth and whether their time at the booth will count toward high school volunteer hour requirements.
