Deadlines approaching for Wheeling's youth volleyball, futsal league registration

Registration deadlines for youth volleyball and futsal in the Wheeling Park District are drawing near, according to the district's program guide.

For youth volleyball, the deadline is Oct. 16 for the $100 registration fee. After Oct. 16, a late fee of $10 will be applied. Practices, which last 1 ½ hours, begin Oct. 26, with games starting Nov. 6 and the program ending Dec. 18. Practices will be from 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at CRC, and games will be played on Sundays at Twain School.

For youth futsal, the registration deadline is Nov. 2 at the $72 fee, with a $5 late fee applied after that date. The eight-game league runs from Nov. 9-Dec. 18. Scrimmages and practices last 40 minutes and take place Wednesdays at Tarkington School; games are at noon Sundays at CRC and Mark Twain School.
