The Schaumburg School District 54 board of education announced July 14 that it has appointed Bob Kaplan as a new board member.
Kaplan previously worked as a a high school coach for District 211, where he stayed for 19 years.
"Bob Kaplan is very passionate about School District 54," Charlotte Kegarise, board president, said. "He has a demonstrated record of putting students first, and is also committed to being fiscally responsible."
