The City of Park Ridge was recently honored by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).
The city was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year 2015 comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).
“This award is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of the finance department, led by Finance Director Joe Gilmore," City Manager Shawn Hamilton said. "The City of Park Ridge is committed to keeping our accounting and financial reporting up to the highest national standards possible, and this award is confirmation of that achievement.”
Park Ridge's CAFR was judged by a panel of impartial judges. The Certificate of Achievement is a high honor among government accounting and financial professionals. Park Ridge's CAFR clearly communicated the financial story of the city to its residents, allowing them to navigate the financial report and understand the complexities of the city's finances.
