Weather permitting, the Mount Prospect Public Works crews will be performing the group's annual spring cleaning in the downtown area today and tomorrow.

Crews will clean public sidewalks and remove accumulated dirt, salt and trash.

Interested residents can view the map showing the areas to be cleaned here. The area bordered in red is scheduled for cleaning on Tuesday, March 15, and the area in blue on Wednesday, March 16. Questions about the sidewalk cleaning should be directed to the Public Works Department at 847-870-5640 or email publicworksdept@mountprospect.org and put "Downtown Sidewalk Cleaning" in the subject line.

The Public Works Department maintains an e-news list for the convenience of Mount Prospect residents. Periodic emails about Public Works activities are sent out to subscribers. The Public Works Department's areas of responsibility include flooding, graffiti removal, parkway trees, potholes, snow and ice removal, streets and sidewalks, trash collection, and water and sewer services.
