Park Ridge Budget Workshop will be held tomorrow evening.
Park Ridge Budget Workshop will be held tomorrow evening.
The third in a series of four budget workshops will be held at 7 p.m. tomorrow, March 10, in the Park Ridge City Hall Council Chambers at 505 Butler Place.
After reviewing and updating the scorecard, the group will move on to the topics of the evening.
The workshop will focus on the public safety divisions of police and fire, parking, E911, asset forfeiture, IMRF, shared services and transfers. Each item will be reviewed separately, including the associated revenues, funding sources and expenditures for that fund. The city requires that each fund be balanced, with the exception of the Equipment Replacement Fund.
If the revenue and expenditures are not balanced, monies can be transferred in or out of the fund to ensure it is balanced.
The last budget workshop is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, during which the remaining funds will be reviewed.
After the budget workshops are completed, the city manager will prepare the final proposed budget for the council. This budget will be presented at the City Council meeting on Monday, April 18. The council will hold a public hearing before approving the final budget.
