Park Ridge Appearance Commission to meet, review residential alterations

Applications for six single-family home alterations, eight residences and a garage are on the agenda for the City of Park Ridge Appearance Commission meeting at 7 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 24.

The commission meets in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 505 Butler Place. The public is invited to attend.

After approving the five single-family alterations on the consent agenda, the commission will review the applications for new single-family alterations. The applications are for 119 E. Lahon St., 213 E. Kathleen Drive, 410 W. Belle Plaine Ave., 120 Joyce Place, 1539 Potter Road and 420 Talcott Place. Each application will be heard and discussed separately.

The commission will also review the applications for single-family residences at 709 Edgemont Lane, 2424 De Cook Court, 421 S. Chester Ave., 818 S. Washington Ave., 2151 De Cook Ave. and 2000 W. Sibley Ave. for Lots 8 and 10. The single-family residence at 817 S. Fairview Ave. is also up for a second review by the commission. The first plan required additional details to ensure that the materials and design of the residence would fit in with the existing homes in the neighborhood.

One application for a garage, at 709 Edgemont Lane, will also be reviewed before the commission moves on to other business. After hearing from citizens, the commission will adjourn the meeting.
