Schaumburg Regional Airport Advisory Commission will hear updates on continuing and informational items at tomorrow's meeting.

The Schaumburg Regional Airport Advisory Commission will hear an informational update on airport management at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 10, in the airport meeting room at the Schaumburg Regional Airport.

The commission will hear a review of recent events at the airport, including the progress on the state of the airport report, the installation of the automated weather observing system (AWOS) and rehabilitation of the rotating beacon. Other issues include the self-serve fuel terminal, recent snow events and the replacement of the east gate due to an accident. It will also hear the report on the Santa's Flight to Schaumburg event.

An update on the transportation department's progress in compiling a Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual will also be heard by the commission. While village departments are involved in procedures at the airport, the manual is for internal use only and not available for distribution to the public.

The Pilots Technical Advisory chairman will give the commission a verbal report, followed by comments from the commission. After hearing public comments, the meeting will be adjourned. The next meeting of the commission is scheduled for May 10.
