Tonight's Planning & Zoning Commission meeting will commence at 7 p.m. at the City Council Chambers.

Two conditional use permits are on the agenda for the Elgin Planning & Zoning Commission meeting tonight, Feb. 1.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Elgin City Council Chambers, 150 Dexter Ct.

The first conditional use permit at 75 Market St., Suite 20 is regarding the establishment of a church on the premises. The commission will hear and discuss the application before deciding how the applicant should proceed in the permitting process. The second application for a conditional use permit is also at 75 Market St., Suite 2. The applicant has applied to establish a driving school on the premises.

Also on the agenda is a map amendment for 1330 Holmes Road. The applicant has requested permission for an additional monument graphic at the site.

The application for a conditional use permit at 297 N. McLean Blvd. -- for a car wash -- will be removed from the table for this meeting, although it is still under consideration by the commission.

After reviewing other business and an update on pending development applications, the commission will hear comments from the audience before adjourning.
