Mount Prospect Planning and Zoning Commission announces upcoming meeting.
The Mount Prospect Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a regular meeting at 7:30 tonight.
The commission will consider two requests for zoning code variances: one to allow two street-facing signs at 730 E. Northwest Highway and one to allow an open -- instead of a closed -- fence at 2210 S. Busse Road.
The commission will also have the final say on a request to rezone the part of the zoning map that includes Mount Prospect School District 57 from conservation zoning to residential zoning. If rejected, the request includes an allowance to resubmit the request within a year of the village board's voting it down.
Following public comment, the commission will adjourn.
The meeting will take place at 50 S. Emerson St., Mount Prospect.
