The Village of Wilmette board of trustees is the governing body of the Village, which makes legislative and policy decisions. The Village board is made up of the Village President, Bob Bielinski, and six Trustees: Carol Ducommun, Cameron Krueger, Ted McKenna, Senta Plunkett, Daniel E. Sullivan, Jr. and Julie Wolf. The board members are elected at large. Each serves a four year term, which is limited to no more than two four-year terms. A President or Trustee elected to an unexpired term of 25 months or less may also serve two terms of office. The President and Trustees do not receive compensation for their public service.
There are six standing committees of the board, which consist of three Trustees. Each of the committees considers specific matters and brings back recommendations to the full board of trustees for discussion and possible approval. The six committees are: Administration, Finance, Judiciary, Land Use, Municipal and Public Safety.
