Streamwood board to meet, review and approve agenda items

The Village of Streamwood, Illinois Board to meet on December 3 at 7 p.m.

After calling the meeting to order, taking roll call and saying the pledge of allegiance, President Billie D. Roth will report on the commission appointment. Following the President's and Village Manager's reports, the board will review and approve the meeting agenda.

Several meeting minutes will be reviewed and approved, including the public hearing on the 2016 Operating and Capital Improvements Budget, public hearing on the 2015 Tax Levy and the November 19 regular board meeting.

Items on the agenda for the first reading and posting include the Crazy Crab Restaurant special use permit for alcohol and the amendment to the ordinance establishing water and sewer rates. Second readings and approvals include the 2015 property tax levy, the 2015 special service area tax levy and the 2016 operating and capital improvements budget. Also up for review and approval are the semi-monthly expenditures and the bid for purchase of unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel from AL Warren Oil Co. for 2016, 2017 and 2018.

The 31st annual lighting event, Luminaria 2015, will be held on December 4 at 6:30 p.m. The medians of Park Boulevard and the Municipal Campus will be lined with Luminarias. Cookies and cocoa, Santa and Mrs. Claus and holiday music will be waiting for the public at City Hall.

Holiday Helping is also on the agenda. firefighters, police officers, Village officials and staff will sponsor approximately 19 families and 47 children on a holiday shopping trip on December 12, followed by a visit with Santa.

After the agenda is complete, the board will adjourn to a closed session to discuss collective negotiations.
