The Isabella Sewer Project Construction is expected to create significant traffic delays on Tuesday and Wednesday on Southbound Route 83 between Central and Kensington Streets in Mount Prospect.

The project requires road patching on these days between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The lane will be intermittently blocked while concrete is poured. Traffic will be stopped for approximately five minutes at a time. Flaggers will direct traffic to proceed when each truck finishes and until the next truck arrives.

Northbound traffic will not be affected by the road-patching work. Because traffic is already reduced to one lane in each direction due to the ongoing sewer work, motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes while the patching is in progress.

Those with questions about the Isabella Sewer Project or the associated road-patching work can call the Public Works Department at 847-870-5640 or send an email to publicworksdept@mountprospect.org.

Affected motorists can view a map of the area here.
