Mount Prospect residents can leave loose leaves at their curbs for pickup through Nov. 20 by Public Works crews.

The program is for loose leaves only. Grass clippings and other yard debris will not be picked up. Residents must rake their leaves to the pavement, 1 foot from the curb, the day before their scheduled pickup. If the vacuum truck already has passed, do not put leaves out for that week's pickup.

Residents affected by the Isabella Sewer project should rake their leaves onto the grass parkway behind the curb. Please do not rake leaves into the street. For more information about the Isabella Sewer project, visit www.mountprospect.org/index.aspx?page=940

After the loose-leaves program ends, bagged leaves will be picked up from Nov. 24 through Dec. 12 on regular collection days by ARC Disposal. Leaves bagged in biodegradable compost bags do not need a village-imprinted sticker. All other bags or rigid containers filled with leaves or yard debris must have a village-imprinted sticker. Rigid containers also need a yard-waste decal.

For more information on leaf-pickup procedures, go to the Village website at www.mountprospect.org/index.aspx?page=511 or view the map at www.mountprospect.org/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=1490.
