Buffalo Grove's Flex facility was recognized at a recent Buffalo Grove Village Board meeting as
“Manufacturing is an important industry to our local economy,” Village President Beverly Sussman said. “We feel that Flex is on the cutting edge of technology and are so proud to have them here in the village.”
Flex's (formerly Flextronics) main focus is on design, manufacturing, distribution, and aftermarket services for computer equipment, electronics, molding, plastics and a variety of other products. The company has invested over $100 million in a new facility at 700-800 Corporate Grove Drive. The manufacturing company has hired over 300 workers and looks forward to further expansion in Buffalo Grove. With 100 sites in 30 countries, the multinational firm is a key element in the village's advanced manufacturing industry, which employs over 3,000 local workers.
“Flex is honored with the award and very excited to be a part of this great community." Vice President of Operations Mark Gomulka said. "The Buffalo Grove site was chosen for its location and accessibility to a talented workforce. We have received great support as we build out our business here in Buffalo Grove.”
