Washington Bears, with former Niles North High School star Yogi Oliff on their roster, were edged out 65-63 by the St. Thomas Celts in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 13.
The contest, held at Jerabeck Athletic Center at 7 p.m., marked the teams’ first meeting in this stage of the tournament.
One running event is scheduled to take place in the North Cook County during the week ending May 15, offering an opportunity for adults to compete, stay active, and take part in organized races.
