University of Alabama student Crosby des Groseilliers from Glenview is taking part in the university’s Cooperative Education Program for the spring 2026 semester. Des Groseilliers is working with Essity Professional Hygiene NA as part of this initiative.
The Cooperative Education Program allows students to alternate between periods of full-time study and full-time employment, providing work that relates to their academic major or career interests. While attending classes, students maintain a regular course schedule, and while on co-op assignments, they work with professionals in their chosen fields who supervise their training and tasks. Co-op participants receive competitive salaries and may also get benefits along with job experience. Students retain their full-time status at the university during their work terms and have priority registration each semester until graduation.
According to the University of Alabama, “UA shapes a better world through its teaching, research and service.” The university describes itself as having “a global reputation for excellence,” offering an inclusive environment and nearly 200 degree programs on its campus. It is recognized as a leader in research through more than 30 research centers and plays a significant role in economic growth within Alabama.
