Anson Mount born February 25, 1973, in Arlington Heights

Anson Adams Mount IV, born February 25, 1973, is an American actor with ties to Arlington Heights, Illinois. He is known for his roles as Cullen Bohannon on Hell on Wheels, Captain Christopher Pike in Star Trek: Discovery and Strange New Worlds, and Black Bolt in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Mount’s early career included a role in Crossroads and work in independent films such as Cook County. He has also appeared on stage and in various television series. Mount attended Columbia University and is an adjunct assistant professor there. He is married to photographer Darah Trang and has a daughter born in 2021.
