Danny Gaskill, Wrestler | University Of Wisconsin-Whitewater
Danny Gaskill, a student from Elk Grove Village, Illinois, studying Public Policy and Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, has secured a place on the Warhawk wrestling team for the 2025-26 season.
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is ranked among the top 10 NCAA Division III teams in preseason polls by the National Wrestling Coaches Association and The Open Mat. In the previous season, UW-Whitewater finished third in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, placed second at the NCAA Region V tournament, and took 13th place at the NCAA Division III Championships. Four Warhawks qualified for the NCAA Championships last year, with two earning All-America honors: Brayden Peet at 165 pounds and Dominik Mallinder at 133 pounds.
The Warhawks have consistently performed well over recent years, finishing among the top 25 teams in NCAA Division III for each of the past 12 seasons. The program’s best finish came as national runner-up during the 2013-14 season.
The team began its 2025-26 campaign with tournament competition in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Their first WIAC dual will be against UW-Oshkosh on Thursday, Nov. 6, at Williams Center in Whitewater. More information and a complete schedule are available at uwwsports.com.
