Elgin (Cook County) home prices rise in April 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2019 in Elgin in Cook County rose by $18,000 while total sales decreased by 24.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2019, there were 28 homes sold, with a median sale price of $188,000 - a 10.6% increase over the $170,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 37 homes sold in Elgin in April 2018.

The median sales tax in Elgin for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,355, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for April 2019.
