Evanston home prices fall in January 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2019 in Evanston fell by $102,500 while total sales decreased by 37.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2019, there were 45 homes sold, with a median sale price of $260,000 - a 28.3% decrease over the $362,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 72 homes sold in Evanston in January 2018.

The median sales tax in Evanston for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $7,030, approximately 2.7% of the median home sale price for January 2019.
