City of Des Plaines recently issued the following announcement.
Save-the-Date for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The Des Plaines Police Department encourages the public to drop-off old, or unwanted prescription drugs at its 24/7 collection site located in the Department's lobby at 1418 Miner Street.
During last October’s National Take Back Day, collection boxes were put to good use.
In one day alone, over 457 TONS of unused and expired medicines were dropped off for safe and proper disposal in the US.
