Report: Wilmette spent $15,074 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Wilmette School District 39 is up 8.3 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $13,919 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $15,074 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 3699 to 3617.

Wilmette's spending in 2017-18 was 13 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
