Report: River Trails spent $16,573 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at River Trails School District 26 is up 2.7 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $16,137 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $16,573 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1423 to 1552.

River Trails's spending in 2017-18 was 24.3 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
