Glencoe School District 35 students suspended 10 times in a single school year

Glencoe School District 35 reported 10 suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 10 students during the year. That equates to 0.8 percent of the 1,182 students enrolled.

The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes five incidents. There were one incidents of violence that caused physical injury. For six incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes two incidents. There were one incidents of drugs. For two incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
