How much has Glenview CCSD 34 overspent over the past 10 years?

Glenview Community Consolidated School District 34 accumulated $7.87 million in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a North Cook News analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Glenview CCSD 34 reported 25.4 percent more revenue. At the same time, total spending went up 25.1 percent. The resulting deficit grew by 22.3 percent from 2008 to 2017.
