Golf Elementary School District 67 Board met May 2.

President Toth called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m.

Other Individuals Present: Dr. Beth Flores, Superintendent

Changes to the Agenda Added Changes to the Agenda on Part 1 of the Agenda and Administrator’s
Report on Part 2 of Agenda.
Consent Agenda Motion:
President Toth moved and Member Barhoumeh seconded that the Board of Education of Golf School District 67 approve the Consent Agenda for May 2, 2017.
Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Barhoumeh, Hollingsworth, Hussain, Kumar, Lindsay, Toth Nays: None Abstain: Ardeleanu Motion: Approved
Public Comment Member Hollingsworth commented that community members have expressed disappointment that the 7th grade class did not have a field trip opportunity to Springfield, Illinois this year. Ms. Chvojka will look into this and noted that this is an expensive field trip for some families.
President Toth would like to discuss field trips as an agenda item at the June Board meeting.
Item for Action Ratification of the 2017 School Board Election Canvass
Motion: Member Hollingsworth moved and Member Hussain seconded that the Board of Education of Golf School District 67 adopt and ratify the canvass of the School Board election, performed by the Cook County Clerk, and declare that Nada Ardeleanu, Sam Barhoumeh, and Ashwini Kumar have been elected to four-year terms beginning on May 2, 2017 and Richard Toth has been elected to a two-year term beginning on May 2, 2017.
Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Ardeleanu, Barhoumeh, Hollingsworth, Hussain, Kumar, Lindsay, Toth Nays: None
Abstain: None Motion: Approved
Oath of Office for Re-elected Board Members
Based on the fact that Nada Ardeleanu, Sam Barhoumeh, Ashwini Kumar, Jermaine Lindsay, and Richard Toth received the highest number of votes for office, I declare Nada Ardeleanu, Sam Barhoumeh, Ashwini Kumar, Jermaine Lindsay, and Richard Toth elected as members of the School Board for the full term of office.
Dr. Flores administered the Oath of Office for re-elected Board Members Nada Ardeleanu, Sam Barhoumeh, Ashwini Kumar, Jermaine Lindsay and Richard Toth.
Adjournment Sine Die Motion:
Member Ardeleanu moved and Member Kumar seconded that the Board of Education of Golf School District 67 adjourn sine die.
