On Friday, Feb. 27, at 3 p.m., the Illinois State Redbirds, featuring former Glenbrook North High School standout Nolan Girard, were defeated 13-3 by the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders in NCAA Division I baseball.
The matchup, which was their first against the Blue Raiders this season, was held at Reese Smith Jr Field.
Girard pitched 2.2 innings, giving up two earned runs and issuing one walk.
Illinois State will face the Blue Raiders again at Reese Smith Jr Field on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m.
