Des Plaines students named to Eastern Illinois University Fall 2025 Dean’s List

Eastern Illinois University has named Kaylen Ilagan and Lindsey Kwil, both of Des Plaines, to its Fall 2025 Dean’s List. The recognition is given to undergraduate students with a declared major who earn a semester grade point average between 3.80 and 4.00 while completing at least 12 graded credit hours.

“This distinction celebrates dedication, perseverance, and outstanding performance in the classroom,” the university stated.

EIU is located in Charleston, Illinois, and is known for small class sizes and high student outcomes. According to the university, it has the highest placement rate among Illinois public universities, with 91% of graduates working or enrolled in graduate school within months of graduation.

Kaylen Ilagan is majoring in Communication in Organizations. Lindsey Kwil is majoring in Special Education (Early Childhood Education).
