Delaney Bridget McCabe of Arlington Heights has been recognized on the Deans’ List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the fall semester of the 2025-26 academic year.

McCabe, a junior majoring in business and law, earned her place on the Dean’s List for the College of Business.

Requirements for making the Deans’ List differ across the university’s eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center. Each college sets its own minimum grade-point average based on a four-point scale and requires a certain number of graded semester hours. Students may qualify for the Deans’ List in more than one college.

For example, students in the College of Business must achieve at least a 3.6 GPA, according to Dean Kathy Farrell. Other colleges have similar standards: “College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, 3.75; Interim Dean Thomas Burkey. College of Architecture, 3.75; Dean Kevin G. Van Den Wymelenberg. College of Arts and Sciences, 3.7; Interim Dean Patrick Dussault. College of Education and Human Sciences, 3.75; Dean Jeff Reese. College of Engineering, 3.7; Dean Lance C. Perez. College of Journalism and Mass Communications, 3.7; Interim Dean Adam Wagler. Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, 3.7; Dean Andy Belser.” The Explore Center also recognizes students with a minimum GPA requirement: “Explore Center for undeclared, pre-engineering, pre-health and pre-law students, 3.6; Senior Associate Vice Chancellor and Dean of Undergraduate Education Amy Goodburn.”
