A. Use of CDBG Funds for FY2026 Public Services
Staff recommends that the Social Services Committee (SSC) recommend the City Council allocate Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for agencies providing public services in FY 2026. Agencies and proposed programs were approved to receive local funds as part of the FY2026 grant application process for the Public Services Program.
Funds come from the Housing and Urban Development Department’s (HUD) annual CDBG award, established by formula to entitlement communities. The City has up to $350,000 available in CDBG public services funding. Funding source is the 2025/26 CDBG funds for public services, account 215.21.5240.62970.
