Staff recommends approval of the Minutes and Executive Session Minutes of the February 4, 2026, Citizen Police Review Commission meeting.

A. Review of Complaint Register 25-05

Staff recommends that the Commission determine that the completed internal investigation of CR 25-05 is complete, thorough, objective, and fair.

A. Motion to Convene Into Executive Session

At the Commission’s discretion they may convene into Executive Session. Pursuant to 5 Illinois Compiled Statutes (“ILCS”) 120/2a, I move that the Citizen Police Review

Commission convene into Executive Session to discuss agenda items regarding personnel. These agenda items are permitted subjects to be considered in Executive Session and are enumerated exceptions under the Open Meetings Act. The exception is 5 ILCS 120/2(a), (c)(1) as set forth as follows: §2. (c) Exceptions. A public body may hold closed meetings to consider the following subjects: (1) The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity.
