Report: Palatine School District spent $14,088 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Palatine Community Consolidated School District 15 was up 12.4 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $12,536 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,088 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 12,655 to 11,881 students over the same period.

Palatine's spending in 2019-20 was 2.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
