Report: West Northfield School District spent $19,791 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at West Northfield School District 31 was up 25.6 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $15,752 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $19,791 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 893 to 870 students over the same period.

West Northfield's spending in 2019-20 was 36.6 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
