Report: New Trier School District spent $26,033 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at New Trier Township High School District 203 was up 10.4 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $23,571 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $26,033 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 3,991 to 4,040 students over the same period.

New Trier's spending in 2019-20 was 79.6 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
