State Senate race: Democrat Fine wins voter tally in New Trier Township

Laura Fine led Republican Joan McCarthy Lasonde in votes cast in New Trier Township for the District 9 state Senate race, according to the latest vote count.

Fine appeared to outpace Lasonde by a margin of 21.4 percent on Tuesday in the township.
