Lincolnwood FD responds to 15 fires in 2017

Lincolnwood Fire Department responded to 342 calls in 2017 - 31 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Lincolnwood included 15 fires - seven structure fires, three vehicle fires and five other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $168,020 in fire loss - or about $11,201 per fire.

The department also received 326 false calls, including three malicious calls and 323 other false calls.

Two fire service member were injured in non fire-related incidents.
